The Former President's Framework of Punishment and Favor

Trump's intense appetite for revenge has rapidly morphed into a methodical framework. During the past year, the leader's fury and caprices have assumed the guise of administrative measures similar to analogous to past dictatorial governments. Justice department figures who fail to comply are summarily dismissed and replaced by loyalists. Critical officials who question him encounter legal action, judicial process and sanctions. Critics have been labeled under executive directives as “hostile to national interests”, “against faith communities” and “anti-capitalist”, and threatened with criminal charges as “security threats”.

Federal Agencies Restructured

Each case involving targeting of Trump's enemies and leniency for his allies exhibits its own unique qualities. But, regardless of their individual form, they represent examples of what has arisen as a calculated method. Those episodes are anything but isolated. His purge of federal attorneys and law enforcement agents, accompanied by his installation of loyalists in key posts, commenced rapidly, quickly took on a consistency, and has now been formed into a regime. The justice department and the Federal Bureau have been transformed into political bodies under Trump's clear direction to execute his directives. Injustice has been made standard. It represents the retribution system.

Administration is preoccupied with targeting the leader's perceived adversaries than they are with protecting our public welfare.

Within the System

The foundation of this mechanism has been exposed in the legal complaint of multiple former high-ranking Federal Bureau officials filed in September in the judicial system in the capital against top official an administration figure and top lawyer another official for wrongful dismissal in “a campaign of payback against the officials for what administration figures considered to be a failure to exhibit sufficient devotion”. The document states that Brian Driscoll, the ex- temporary head, describes a discussion in which he “publicly confessed the impropriety of his behavior”.

He had tried to shield law enforcement officers from being terminated, the complaint states. He told him that “administration officials” – understood by the official to be the presidential administration and DoJ – had instructed him to remove everyone who they determined as having participated in a criminal investigation against Trump. The document goes on: “He stated that he had to dismiss the people his leaders told him to fire, because his chance to retain his own role was contingent on the ouster of the personnel who handled investigations involving the leader. He noted that there was nothing he or him could do to stop these or any other firings, because ‘the bureau tried to put the chief in detention and he remembers.’” Once the official told him he was disregarding the agency's own policies, he allegedly said “he knew that and he realized the nature of the immediate dismissals were probably illegal”.

Extensive Impact

Since his claimed admission to him, the justice department and the law enforcement agency have been weakened and reorganized for the administration's system of punishment. Multiple of the bureau's top officials were dismissed or compelled to leave in the early weeks of the administration. Approximately numerous professional attorneys at DoJ have agreed to a “voluntary departure plan”. A minimum of multiple DoJ lawyers, including those in the southern district of New York, resigned in protest over what they regarded as ideological pressure in dropping the criminal prosecution against the local official, a political figure, in exchange for his assistance with Trump's ICE arrests of foreign nationals. The anti-corruption unit of DoJ, which oversees ethical violations, has been cut down to a handful of lawyers. The rights protection unit has been severely reduced: the majority of its staff has departed. One-third of executives at the department have left. The section implementing environmental law has lost 50% its supervisors.

Rewards and Punishments

Concerning the mayor's situation, the interim prosecutor for the NY office, Danielle Sassoon, resigned in objection against what she characterized as the “trade-off”. The border official, Trump's “border czar,” appeared as the implementer with Adams on Fox News to declare: “Should he fail to deliver, I'll be back in the city.”. And, a former official, previously the senior DoJ official and a past legal representative, who arranged the arrangement, was given an appellate federal judgeship, a possible springboard to the supreme court.

Trump's exemption for offenses perpetrated while in office, provided by the unprecedented decision of the GOP-led on the supreme court, thus thwarting his prosecution over the January 6 insurrection and safeguarding his public standing for the national vote, is the foundation stone on which he depends to protect his stalwarts. Given this protection, he has been freed to authorize corruption. The effect of the supreme court decision saturates his government and the political party completely. Trump v United States has escalated. In the words of a past leader's administration lawyer he remarked about the Watergate
